About This Series
"Stalking Cryptids" explores the liminal space between myth and reality, where legendary creatures exist in the shadows of modern consciousness. This mixed media series investigates how folklore adapts and persists in contemporary urban environments.
Drawing inspiration from cryptozoology and urban legends, the work examines our collective need for mystery in an increasingly mapped and documented world. These creatures - whether Bigfoot, Chupacabra, or Mothman - represent our desire to believe in the unknown and unexplained.
The multiple versions of this piece reflect the evolving nature of legend itself - how stories change in the telling, how each witness adds their own interpretation, and how these creatures become more real through repetition and belief than through any physical evidence.
